Hi! I’m Lisa Webb, a jeweller and artist based in Matakana, just north of Auckland. My work is inspired by the raw, natural beauty of New Zealand, the warmth and vibrancy of the Pacific, and the ever-changing ocean that surrounds us. The Tāwharanui Peninsula, where I live and create, is a place of wild coastlines, shifting light, and untamed landscapes - it continually shapes my artistic vision.

The ocean has always been my greatest muse. Its tides, colours, and horizons mirror life’s rhythms, and its treasures tell stories of transformation and resilience. Pearls, in particular, hold a special place in my heart. They embody the alchemy of nature at work, showing us the beauty found in embracing life’s imperfections. I often imagine pearls as small vessels of the sea, carrying with them the serenity, vitality, and mystery of the ocean.

Pearls are also the most sustainable gemstone in the world. Their cultivation avoids destructive mining and actively supports marine health. Pearl farms can create thriving habitats for fish, improve water quality, and protect delicate reef systems. Wearing a pearl is not just a gesture of beauty - it’s an act of honouring and giving back to the ocean that created it.

My connection to the sea is lifelong. I have always been drawn to the salt air, the sound of waves, and the sense of freedom the horizon offers. The Pacific, with its turquoise blue water, deep currents, and island cultures, feels like an extension of my own spirit. Many of my pieces hold whispers of its light, the shimmer of its tides, and the stories of faraway shores - while also reflecting the rugged, grounding beauty of Aotearoa.

My collections are often a little off-beat, offering a natural, comfortable sophistication. I love to contrast delicate with bold, bringing statement-making attention to detail while highlighting the strength of simplicity. My jewellery nurtures a minimalist approach to life and a sense of adornment for our most authentic selves - pieces that embody natural beauty with a blend of simplicity and femininity.

At the heart of my work is a deep gratitude for the life and beauty that exists in nature. I believe we have an innate need to reconnect with the natural world - not simply as something to observe, but as a source of awe, wonder, and balance. My jewellery, art, and objects are created with this purpose in mind: to help guide us back to that connection, to live more harmoniously, and to celebrate the beauty that surrounds us.

Inspired by the natural world, the romance of the Pacific, the elegance of vintage glamour, art, design, travel, creativity, and well-being, I aim to capture the essence of an unconventional lifestyle - where luxury meets simplicity, and beauty and elegance are redefined. Each piece I make symbolises the emotional, spiritual, and personal bonds that connect us to the world and to each other.

While I work with diamonds, pearls, coloured stones, gold, and silver, what truly sets my work apart is my ability to weave in the intangible - time, tradition, light, and the unseen forces of the universe that draw us together. My jewellery becomes an expression of the wearer’s desire for a meaningful life, true love, and a genuine connection with the world around them.
