AQUAMARINE

Aquamarine is a member of the beryl family, with sister stones like emerald and morganite. The name comes from two latin words, aqua marinus, and means “water of the sea”, which refers to its greenish-blue colour. It’s known for its wonderful clarity.

Aquamarine embodies all things connected to the sea. It becomes a mirror, reflecting itself indefinitely, making it possible to discover hidden meanings of reality. As a stone of symmetries, it is conducive for meditation and revelation, a stone of prophets, shamans, healers, and mystics. It also allows us to explore the depths of our souls, bringing us face-to-face with ourselves, and others.

CITRINE

Citrine is a transparent, yellow variety of quartz, ranging in colour from pale to golden yellow, honey or almost brown, and may contain rainbow or sparkle inclusions. The name comes from the french word citron, meaning lemon. It was used as a gem in Greece as far back as 300 B.C., and because of its colour, is sometimes mistakenly referred to as gold topaz, madeira or spanish topaz, or safranite.

Citrine is a stone of manifestation, imagination, and personal will. Carrying the power of the sun, it is warm and comforting, energising and life-giving. It stimulates the chakras like the sunlight of spring, clearing the mind and stirring the soul to action. Its frequency awakens creativity and imagination and sustains the process of transforming dreams and wishes into tangible forms. With its pure yellow energy, citrine encourages fullness of life, fresh beginnings and new pursuits.

Citrine opens the higher mind to accept joy in one's life, releasing anger and negative feelings, deep-seated fears and destructive tendencies. An excellent crystal for overcoming depression, Citrine reduces sensitivity to criticism and inspires creativity and self-expression. It raises self-esteem, and by letting go of the past, allows one to move forward optimistically and enjoy new experiences and adventures.

Citrine does not hold or accumulate negative energy, but rather transmutes, dissipates, and grounds it, making it extremely protective of the environment. It works out problems on both the physical and subtle levels, transforming negative thoughts and feelings into positive ones. It never needs to be cleared or cleansed.

Citrine is a powerful purifier of one's will centre, helping to identify and heal feelings of helplessness. It provides the courage and fortitude needed to make difficult decisions and take action.

DIAMOND

Diamond is a stone of beauty and perfection. A diamond can only be shaped and cut with another diamond, its hardness comes from the carbon atoms bonding it strongly together, making the stone nearly indestructible. Diamonds can be found in a wide variety of colours such as white, black, colourless, pink, yellow, red, orange, green, brown, blue, and even grey. This precious stone has been around since the beginning of record-keeping, making it extremely hard to say when they were discovered by humans. Aside from the value and legacy of diamonds, they also possess very powerful healing abilities.

Throughout time diamonds have been considered the stone of winners and are said to offer access to powerful divine energy. This is why royalty and those in high power, such as kings, queens, emperors, and pharaohs wore diamonds on their clothing or headpieces. In current times, diamonds are used for adornment due to their sheer beauty and brilliance.

Diamonds are of course used as tokens of love. A diamond means forever. White diamonds represent faithfulness, love, purity, innocence, and relationships filled with love. The white diamond is a symbol of the richness of the self. As the hardest mineral of all, it is especially esteemed due to its beauty, purity, and ability a white diamond has to reflect light in such a unique and brilliant manner.

Black diamonds have a huge number of inclusions — small blemishes that affect a gemstone's appearance. This large number of inclusions is enough to change the colour of black diamonds. The colour of black diamonds is believed to be caused by graphite. A black diamond is essentially so full of inclusions that it paints the entire stone black enough to cause a gem-like appearance.

Among all gemstones, diamonds are recognised for their durability, scoring a 10 (the highest possible) on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness. A diamonds structure is composed of solid crystal with identifiable natural lines.

Black diamonds are slightly different, as they consist of many small crystals all stuck together in random formation. Although they’re still graded as a 10 on the Mohs scale, Black diamonds are known to be even harder than the majority of colourless diamonds. Before black diamonds were used as gems for jewellery, they were used for a variety of different functions because of their durability.

Just like colourless or white diamonds, black diamonds symbolise eternal, flawless, and unchanging love, making them perfect for a diamond engagement ring. Black diamonds are also associated with passion, action and energy.
